Wayside Crosses and Shrines in Lithuanian Culture
This three-layered work culminates in a wooden cross but also incorporates celestial bodies, the sun and the moon. Carved by Antanas Poskočimas.
This shrine, carved by an unknown artist, features St. George, made entirely of amber and enshrined with stylized tulips. Other natural floral elements decorate the bottom, vertical and top areas.
