10,20, 50 ct, 1,2 and 5 Lt coins were designed by the sculptor Antanas Zaukauskas.
1,2 and 5 ct coins were designed by the sculptor Petras Garska.
The adapted Vytis was designed by the artist Arvydas Kazdailis.

About the set: The state of Lithuania was formed in the 13th century. The minting of the Lithuanian coins were started a century later. The country underwent several periods of rise and decline and suffered the Soviet occupation in the 20th century. The independence state of Lithuania was re-established on 11 March 1990. Continuing the traditions of stablr monetary policy, the national currency of Lithuania – the litas – was issued on 25 June, 193. On Lithuania’s accession to the European Union in 2004, the Bank of Lithuania became a member of the European System of Central Banks.
